Code of Ethics
At KREE we must all operate on the premise that we are willing to give 110%
of our knowledge and abilities to see a transaction through.
A relationship generally works best when both parties are each giving 75% or
more to the relationship and only receiving about 25% from that relationship!
This probably holds true for real estate agents and their clients.
BROKER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
1. A member shall not knowingly contact another member’s client without the
other member’s permission.
2. A member shall maintain a relationship of financial confidentiality in dealing
with his client.
3. A member shall not acquire another member’s client without written permission
from the other member, or a written request from the client with a copy sent
to the other member.
LISTINGS
1. All printed packages that are presented by a member must be under an exclusive
listing or option to that member and must state an expiration date.
2. Verbal “haves” are presumed to be exclusive listings of presenting
member. Any exceptions must be stated during the verbal presentation.
REFERRALS
1. Member are encouraged to share ideas, and to put other members in touch
with parties whose properties may be suitable to the other members needs. The
referring member should make such referrals usually without expecting compensation.
If, however, the referring member desires a referral fee it should be determined
by negotiation with the other member.
BROKER-BROKER
1. Any member-broker who represents another broker or offers another broker’s
listing must reveal such status to any other member immediately in any conversation
concerning that listing.
2. If that information is not revealed immediately, then the other member has
no obligation to recognize the “broker-broker” status.
3. Any written “broker-broker” packages must reveal such relationship
in large capital letters on the package and must also contain the commission
information.
